Our Coliving Canary Islands is very conscious about the sustainability of the Canaries.
We don’t have rivers nor too much rain during the year, that’s why we have to take our water from the sea, producing carbon emission in the process of desalination.
Also a big quantity of the drinking water comes from abroad, in plastic bottles, because we can not drink water from the tap, this is unsustainable, very expensive, and far away from many sustainable development goals…
We asked ourselves how we can reduce the amount of plastic bottles in our Coliving Canary Islands, and the answer was an Osmosis system.
It took us 2 hours to install it, it cost 150 euros, and the water is even better than many bottle waters in the market.
With this simple action, we have done a big step in our Zero Waste strategy-
