Our Coliving

We ask ourselves many times how our EcoIsleta Coliving can help our neighborhood to become Zero Waste. Becoming a coliving local impact is one of our main purposes.

How we can help the next generation to keep living here?

This is very important for us, because we see our Shop and our Coliving as tools, for the regeneration of our neighborhood.

Collaboration with a nearby High School, helps us to talk about the Remote Work Revolution to students, and how it is transforming our lives.

Lack of communication is the worst for our local community and for the remote workers that come to the Canary Islands.

EcoIsleta Coliving Local Impact

To answer this important “how” we have to talk about our main collaboration with Fondo Verde Canarias Siempreviva, an Association that works for sustainability in the Canaries.

This association is focused on composting in the neighborhood and other parts of the city, also High Schools, and other facilities.

In other words, we are so grateful for helping this project work for a Zero Waste neighborhood. Helping them we feel that everything we do in our EcoIsleta Coliving Las Palmas makes sense…

A few weeks ago seventeen neighbors visit our coliving, architects, teachers, and entrepreneurs. We all spent three hours talking about and answering questions about composting in La Isleta.

We need to collaborate to find answers. The community will be key to changing many of our habits.

Overcoming many problems, limiting beliefs, and fears, about composting, is key to a sustainable future.

Because it is something “new” for almost all of us. For many decades, we didn’t care about garbage, and now we are surrounded by plastic…

Some neighbors also check our vermicomposter, clearing many fears about it, in just one second.
