Insendi chooses us for their Team Retreat in Gran Canaria

Not so long ago we were lucky enough to host a 7-worker team from various nationalities from University of Berlin, for a Team Retreat in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

They came here to work in Coworking Soppa de Azul, very close to our Ecohouse.

Soppa de Azul provides a very open space, with a unique working environment in this city, very artistic and interdisciplinary, where they can even host big groups and events.

Inside Coworking there is a technological company called Insendi, which elaborates online educational platforms for universities.

They have headquarters in London and in La Isleta, with a team of workers from all over the world, including Canarian computer engineers, who are also residents of our neighborhood.

Our advantages

In our Ecohouse’s design, we took care and potentiated certain Team Building spaces which we believe can be very useful for specific work teams.

These open spaces of social and collaborative nature, along with good WiFi, are helpful for a Team Retreat in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

We also were able to see how the work members enjoyed our amazing Las Canteras beach after a long work day, recharging for the next day.

One service they demanded from us was cleaning services during their stay, which we were able to provide on the afternoons to adapt to our client’s needs.

Tech companies and La Isleta

We are observing that our neighborhood with its great potentialities is hosting and being considered by tech companies which on one hand are providing jobs in the island and on the other hand, require services from other small, local businesses.

Our open and cosmopolitan idiosyncrasy, united with the big advantage of having natural and unique space, gives us a very important bonus.

Review of our Ecohouse

Nick Barniville, Associate Dean – ESMT Berlin, wrote this evaluation of the house for our blog, and we are very grateful for his words and for him choosing us.

“Casa Mamadou was a perfect place for our team to stay during our month co-working in Las Palmas. With seven bedrooms, three shower rooms, great WiFi, different hang out areas inside and outside, a perfect quiet location 300m from the beach in the working community of La Isleta, we felt very much at home.”

“This is a great base for a team retreat, especially when combined with desks at Soppa de Azul co-working, and we would love to come back. Thanks to our great host Jonatan who made our life on the island so easy.”
