Coworking in Gran Canaria, near the best beach in town

Talleres Palermo, a Coworking in Gran Canaria
Coworking Talleres Palermo

A CoWorking is a space specifically destined for remote workers to do their job surrounded by other remote workers who usually don’t belong to the same company. For this reason, each day is more common to spot a new Coworking in Gran Canaria, as well as the rest of the islands.

Advantages of a Coworking

The main advantage of a CoWorking space is probably the motivation you can get by the fact of being in the presence of other people who are also working hard, researching and concentrating in their job.

Nowadays, as it is getting a lot more usual to be able to work from home, some problems seem to be surfacing when it comes to the ability to focus when you are at home.

A CoWorking is the perfect mix between working at the office and working at home: you can be more flexible with your hours, and even with your clothing and appearance. On top of that, you’ll have the extra motivation to go out and see other people working.

One important difference between a CoWorking space and, let’s say a coffee shop where you can take your laptop and work, is that CoWorkings have the rol of a manager, who will be in charge of creating a safe, fun and creative space for everyone to meet and benefit from the space and the other workers.

Coworkings as a way to connect and build relationships

Also, as human beings we love to meet new people and need social interactions, which might be lower if we spend hours and hours at home working. So a CoWorking also can be very helpful to meet new people and have nice conversations with other workers.

Another interesting thing about CoWorking in Gran Canaria is that if you are self-employed you can usually save money by working there instead of working at home. You can cut expenses like the light bill, high-speed Internet…

To that you can add the possibility of networking, since you’ll be able to meet other workers who might be able to contribute in different ways to your job. This gives you the opportunity to build a strong net helping each other grow professionally.

Something to take into account is the pricing side of it: some CoWorkings are totally free, with the disadvantage that they usually are not as intentional or well thought as others. Because of this, you would have to make a bigger effort to find people to connect or the overall dynamics of it.

There are CoWorkings in Gran Canaria that offer different options to pay: you can pay by the hour (a great option if you want to try it out). Also, others usually have bonds for weeks or even months if you already know you will be visiting it often.

In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, there’s a growing number of CoWorking spaces you can visit while you’re in the city.

Coworkings in Gran Canaria near our Coliving

Nearby our Eco-Coliving and Playa de Las Canteras, there are several CoWorking spaces that you might find useful, inspiring and interesting. Here’s a list of them and their main characteristics:

Soppa de Azul is one of them, and if you like artistic spaces this is the ideal place for you since it is full of paintings. It is very close to the beach so you can take a breath at the end or the beginning of your working session with the best view.

Very close to Playa Las Alcaravaneras you’ll find CreatiWorking, very well located and connected with the rest of the city via public transportation. You can also easily go with your bike, since the city’s main bike lane goes right beside it and they offer spaces to park your bike or your electric scooter. They take into great consideration sustainability and want to help you take part in it.

Another option is DojoCoworking, close to Mercado del Puerto where you’ll find food, flowers and also bars where you can meet people and have a great time after work. It has a very particular style, inspired in Japanese interior design with a Zen personality.

Finally, Talleres Palermo offers a different experience from the ones mentioned before. It’s located in an old carpentry and they also have a bar, where lots of events take place. If you’re interested in second-hand furniture they are also a great option for you. They have offices, meeting rooms and a rooftop you can access.
