Working remotely has many advantages, for example working and living in a good Coliving community in Las Palmas, flexibility, freedom, increasing your networking, and meeting new people and cultures.

But also like everything in this world has disadvantages, loneliness, disconnection from your community, monotony, lack of social connections, etc

In the long run, you can find yourself, working and sleeping in the same room, alone, which can cause, serious health problems

This lack of social life will affect your health and also your productivity. Before going remote you should consider talking with other remote workers, and set a plan to avoid loneliness.

Look for options like coworking or coliving spaces, to see if they can help you in your new working situation. I mean you should research how to handle remote working…

Self-discipline is also another challenge for many office workers that jump into remote work. Still, luckily there is already good bibliography to research and that’s something you should consider as well.

“Building in-person interaction bolsters the immune system, sends feel-good hormones surging through the bloodstream and brain, and helps us to live longer” Susan Pinker

The CO spaces, Coliving, Cohousing, Coworking…

We are social, we need to feel that we belong to some community and that we can talk and be listened to by someone who cares about us…

We recommend you be curious about communities, be open to change, and build relationships based on authenticity,  this will help you to avoid loneliness in your apartment and also to keep productive in your job.

We are facing massive loneliness challenges on our planet, too many people live alone, but communities can work to help all of us feel belong and cared for.

There are many different communities, yoga studios, Salsa groups, foodies, coworking communities, etc…

EcoIsleta Community in Las Palmas

In EcoIsleta we work in two different ways, we have our shop, where we try to help neighbors to connect and talk with other neighbors, taking into account the importance of a good chat in a local shop.

Also, we have our Coliving, where we focus all our energy on helping colivers to feel the power of a Coliving community in Las Palmas, enjoy deep talk, have dinners together, engage in our local community to understand our culture, go to visit the island with other colivers, etc…

We also open our community to the city, helping other travelers to meet with locals and remote workers in the house. For us, our main goal is to help remote workers to connect with locals and also understand our culture…

It is not easy, but all our efforts go in that direction…
