building, turn into a community&#8230; I made myself this question many times&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ecoisleta.com\/en\/la-isleta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Isleta<\/a> is not only a neighborhood, It is a strong community, forged in the last 100 years, with people from everywhere on the planet sharing common values, like tolerance, work, solidarity, or freedom&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><span style=\"color: #1d71b8;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Festivities<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Every October is the Festivity of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de La Luz, with lots of processions, music, concerts, etc&#8230; and every four years Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de La Luz, the Virgin Mary in this nearby church, walks in the street where we have our Coliving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">La Isleta is a neighborhood with a strong community life, probably one of the strongest sense of community in the Canary Islands, and these local festivals increase connections between neighbors. Without these festivals, there is no community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">For that important day, the street is decorated with flags and also with carpets made sometimes with salt and others with sawdust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-df3e5cf\" id=\"span-style-color-1-d-71-b-8-class-stk-highlight-decorating-the-street-is-a-very-artistic-and-collaborative-activity-even-with-a-strong-logistic-operation-to-bring-different-products-to-the-street-cook-for-a-shared-barbecue-talk-with-the-local-administration-to-close-the-street-etc-all-this-is-done-by-neighbors-span\" data-block-id=\"df3e5cf\"><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\"><span style=\"color: #1d71b8;\" class=\"stk-highlight\"><strong>Decorating the street is a very artistic and collaborative activity, even with a strong logistic operation to bring different materials and products to the street, cook for a shared barbecue, talk with the local administration to close the street, etc&#8230; this is all done by neighbors&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">Experiencing this moment in La Isleta is having the opportunity to see the community live at its highest level&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><span style=\"color: #1d71b8;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">What we did<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">We had the opportunity to help and engage with our neighbors in this activity and our colivers also worked to build these carpets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><strong><span style=\"color: #1d71b8;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">It was so nice to see the coliving door open, the street without cars, and everybody helping each other to create something beautiful that lasted only a few hours&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\"><span style=\"color: #1d71b8;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Our Coliving stands for these unforgettable moments, encouraging everybody to collaborate and experience our local community values.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-block-type=\"core\">We are very grateful to be part of this activity.
